A woman who had been in critical condition at Washington County Hospital following a motorcycle accident last weekend on Interstate 81 was discharged from the hospital Monday, a hospital spokesman said.
The crash that injured Deborah Nusbaum happened about 5 p.m. Saturday in the southbound lanes near exit 6A, which leads to U.S. 40, a Washington County 911 dispatcher said.
Maryland State Police Trooper 1st Class J.R. Bowers said Nusbaum, 52, of Boonsboro, was coming off a ramp and struck a passenger car on southbound I-81.
Nusbaum laid her motorcycle down and was lying on the road, Bowers said. A tractor-trailer stopped before hitting her.
Bowers said Nusbaum, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to the hospital with head injuries and abrasions.
