The median in front of Locust Point Market is finished. The group purchased the sign out of its budget. The city bore the cost of digging up the cement, laying the brick and planting the flowers. A special thank you goes to city staff Tim Young and Cindy Blackstock for helping complete the project.
Floral Fantasy
The Women's Club will hold a floral fantasy event Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Academy Theatre Banquet & Conference Center, at 58 E. Washington St., Hagerstown. There will be a buffet dinner and silent auction of garden and spring-inspired merchandise, artwork and gift baskets. Tickets cost $30 per person. For tickets, call 301-739-0870.
School auction
Ebenezer Christian School's annual auction will be Thursday at 6 p.m. The school is at 17618 Virginia Ave. in Hagerstown.
Items for the auction include furniture, vacations/getaways, gift certificates to local businesses, household items and crafts. Proceeds benefit the school. For more information, call 301-791-4801.
Easter Seals
Easter Seals is holding a Vera Bradley/Longaberger basket bingo Sunday at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive.
The doors open at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon and the games begin at 1 p.m.

There will be 25 games, King Tuts, tip jars, raffles and door prizes.
There will also be baked goods and a craft table All baskets will be filled. All proceeds will go to the Hagerstown Easter Seals center.
Hagerstown Lioness Club
The Hagerstown Lioness Club will hold its regular meeting Thursday, May 6, at the Academy Theatre Banquet & Conference Center. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.
Annette Ipsan, a horticulture educator from the University of Maryland Extension, Washington County branch, will speak about container gardening. Reservations or cancelations should be called to 301-790-0913 by May 3.
