Our beloved husband, father, pappy and brother, Charles William (Duck) Mummert, 77, passed away earlier this year at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla.

He was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Williamsport, Md., to Raymond M. Mummert and Carrie Mae Silvers Mummert.

He attended Williamsport schools.

He was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church.

Charles was a Korean War veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army and achieving the rank of corporal.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, DAV and VFW.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Charles is survived by his wife, Eloise, of 56 1/2 years; two daughters, Carol Lynn Mummert of Sterling, Va., and Cristi Rae Daniel and husband, James, of Edmond, Okla.; four granddaughters, Caitlyn Daniel, Laurel Daniel, Mary Celeste Daniel and Mia Daniel; one grandson, Craig E. Anderson Sr. of Hagerstown, Md.; two great-grandsons, Craig E. Anderson Jr. and Cade Anderson; two sisters, Lois Hovis and husband, John, of Waynesboro, Pa., and Joyce Ireland and husband, Bill, of Pittsford, N.Y.; one brother, Edward and wife, Liz, of Palm Coast, Fla.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a very, very good friend, Chuck Anderson.


Charles was a kind and caring person. He lived a rich and full life and lived every moment without regrets. He will be remembered by all who knew him and loved him. Forever in our hearts and always in our dreams.
