HAGERSTOWN -- Two days after knocking off previously unbeaten Clear Spring, North Hagerstown suffered a letdown against Brunswick.
Tyler Itnyre pitched a shutout and Michael Hooper had four hits and four RBIs as the Railroaders crushed the Hubs 11-0 in six innings in an MVAL Antietam baseball game.
"We just slept all through the game," North coach Steve Myers said. "Hopefully, we learned a little bit about ourselves. Just because you beat a good team like Clear Spring doesn't mean the rest of the victories are going to come easy. Brunswick came out and pounded it. They hit the ball real well today. We just didn't match up with them in the hitting today."
Itnyre allowed only three hits and a pair of walks while striking out six. He and Dylan Brown also had three hits each for Brunswick (8-7, 5-4).
