She was a teacher, retiring from the Mineral County (W.Va.) School District, where she taught English and music at Elk Garden High School.
She was a member of the Centre Street United Methodist Church, where she served as president of the United Methodist Women for two terms, taught Sunday school for more than 28 years, was church Permanent Records secretary for 25 years, was Fellowship Club president for four terms, and played piano in adult department Sunday School class.
She was active in Mineral County 4-H, a life member of W.Va. All Star Organization, life member of Potomac State College of WVU Alumni Association, and life member of WVU Alumni Association.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Charles H. Frederick and his wife Kathleen H., Carroll Valley; two granddaughters, Rebecca Lynn Frederick, Baltimore, and Catherine Susan Frederick, Littlestown; and a grandson, Benjamin and his wife Alison Heslin and great-granddaughter, Maggie, all of Las Vegas; and granddaughter, Katy Heslin, Frederick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles H. Homan Jr.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Cumberland, Md.
