HCC students eligible for Ready Mix Concrete Assoc. Scholarship

Students at Hagerstown Community College are eligible to apply for the Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association Scholarship.

The scholarship, which can result in an award of up to $2,000 annually, has been established to provide an educational opportunity for one or more qualified students who desire a career in the concrete or construction industry.

Eligibility requirements include the following:

o Students must submit high school (and/or college) grades, courses taken and ACT/SAT scores that would indicate acceptance into a concrete or construction management program or related degree.

o Students must be active in high school or community groups.

o Students must exhibit a strong interest to pursue a career in the construction industry.

o Students must be majoring in concrete or construction management or a related degree.

o Applicants must be Maryland residents. Preference will be given to employees and dependents of employees of association member companies.

Application deadline is June 1. Applications can be picked up at the Student Financial Aid Office in the Administration and Student Affairs Building on HCC's main campus.
