Jay Donoghue had a team-high three hits to support winning pitcher Ian Moss, who gave up just five hits and struck out nine in St. Maria Goretti's 11-1 six-inning win over Berkeley Springs (6-7) on Wednesday.

Nic Martin had two hits, Taylor Litzinger drove in three and Vince Turano and Aaron Wilkinson added two RBIs each for the Gaels (7-10).

The victory snapped a four-game losing streak in the Antietam for Smithsburg (6-5, 3-5).

The Trojans (6-3, 3-2) jumped out to a 10-1 lead behind the pitching of starter Matt Clark, who went six innings with four strikeouts.

Garrett Sanders had three hits and Kyle Patterson added a two-run single for the Trojans.
