FREDERICK, Md. - Barbara Ann Locke, 60, of Frederick, passed on to her eternal savior April 19, 2010, at the Kline Hospice House, surrounded by her family, after a nine-month battle with melanoma cancer.

She was the wife of nearly 38 years of Michael A. Locke.

Barbara worked for Pantry Pride years ago, Studio 20 Printing and, for the last nine years, caring for one of her three precious grandsons, Collin Bitler.

Barbara's life was centered around her beautiful home, which she loved to take care of, as well as her precious grandsons Chase, Chad and Collin. Barbara had a very special bond with both of her daughters and was always thinking about and caring for others' needs and not her own. She had many special friends, who were also a special part of Barbara's life. Barbara was a member of Christ Reformed Church UCC in Middletown.
