Hardy's clutch double caps Warriors' comeback

BOONSBORO -- Jeremy Hardy's two-run double with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning capped Boonsboro's comeback, as the Warriors scored four runs in the frame to knock off Francis Scott Key 11-10 on Monday.

Hardy finished with two hits and four RBIs for Boonsboro (2-10), while Dustin Gregory had two hits and two RBIs and Phil Hershberger added two hits.

Taylor Litzinger had three hits and five RBIs to lead St. Maria Goretti past Notre Dame in the first game of a doubleheader sweep. Nic Martin had three hits and two RBIs, Vince Turano had three hits and Jay Donoghue added two hits and two RBIs.

In the nightcap, Turano had three hits and three RBIs, Martin had three hits and Connor Grimsley and Ian Moss each had two RBIs for the Gaels (6-10).

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Jordan Riley drove in both of the Trojans' runs, and Mitchell Warner pitched a five-hitter to lead Chambersburg to victory.

With two outs in the fourth inning, Tyler Fore doubled and scored on Riley's triple to deep left to tie the game at 1.

In the sixth, Andrew Byers singled, took second on Fore's sacrifice bunt and scored on Riley's single up the middle for the lead.

Warner allowed an earned run in the third and finished with two walks and four strikeouts for the Trojans (4-3).

ELLIOTSBURG, Pa. -- Patrick Howell had two hits, including an RBI double in a three-run seventh inning, to lift Waynesboro to a Mid-Penn Colonial victory over West Perry.

The Indians (8-2, 3-1) led 4-3 heading into the seventh before Howell's double. Cody Bumbaugh added an RBI single and Aaron Beck had a sacrifice fly to give Waynesboro a cushion.

Jessie Mowen (3-0) started and struck out four over six innings.
