Tech High honors Boyer, Davis

Miranda Boyer and Tyler Davis have been named Students of the Month for April at Washington County Technical High School.

Miranda is a junior in health occupations at Tech High.

Miranda's home school is Williamsport High School. Her academic schedule consists of health occupations, honors physics, honors world history, honors precalculus and advanced-placement literature.

She maintains a 3.8 grade-point average.

Miranda is also a SkillsUSA representative at Tech High.

With her heavy academic schedule, Miranda relieves stress by going to the gym and exercising.

Miranda works at Shenk & Tittle sports store.

In her spare time, Miranda enjoys playing tennis, reading and spending time with her friends.

Miranda hopes to become a dental hygienist.

She would like to thank her parents, but especially her father, for always pushing her to do better and to try her hardest.

Miranda would also like to thank her grandparents, Mrs. Kellman, and her academic teachers, past and present. Without them, she said, she would not be where she is today.


Tyler is enrolled in computer game development and animation, honors physics, honors world history, honors precalculus and honors English 11.

Tyler's home school is Williamsport High School, where he is vice president of the junior class.

Tyler is the SkillsUSA reporter for Tech High.

He is involved in Williamsport High School's History Club.

Tyler is a third-degree black belt and teaches classes at Jung Sim Do Korean Karate School.

In his spare time, Tyler enjoys playing bass guitar, and listening to his favorite band, AC/DC.

Tyler would like to thank his academic teachers, Mr. Seburn, Mrs. Larrick, Mr. Faulders and Ms. McGowan.

He would also like to thank his computer-game development and animation teacher, Mr. Nikirk.

He would like to thank his mother for supporting him and helping him achieve his goals.
