AAUW's annual Used Book Sale starts Wednesday at Ag Center

Proceeds go toward scholarships

SHARPSBURG - The Hagerstown Branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its 43rd annual Used Book Sale from Wednesday through Sunday at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center on Sharpsburg Pike, six miles south of Hagerstown.

More than 50,000 books in good condition are available in 60 categories, including collectibles, special finds, current and choice.

Tapes, CDs and DVDs also are available.

Most hardback books are priced from $1 to $3 and small paperbacks cost 50 cents. Saturday is half-price day. On Sunday, the final day of the sale, books cost $5 per bag or six bags for $25.

Sale hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Food will be available for purchase on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Proceeds from the sale go toward scholarships for local students.
