P. Grace Bumbaugh, 91

P. Grace Bumbaugh, 91, a resident of Menno Haven and formerly of Pond Bank, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Menno Haven.

Born Nov. 16, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Lydia Cook Bumbaugh.

Upon graduating from Chambersburg High School in 1937, Grace went on to become an X-ray technician, first working at Chambersburg Hospital. After her tenure at the hospital, Grace worked for Dr. Mark Magnes in his private practice for more than 30 years.

She was a member of Pond Bank Mennonite Church, where she taught a primary Sunday school class for 60 years.

Grace is survived by three brothers, Charles of Bridgewater, Va., John of Chambersburg, Pa., and Martin of Maugansville, Md. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Bumbaugh; and two sisters, Arlene and Isabelle Bumbaugh.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Chaplain Vernon Isner will officiate. A memorial service will be Sunday, April 25, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Menno Haven, 2075 Scotland Road, Chambersburg, with Chaplain Robert Keener presiding.
