Hagerstown Community College will present its annual Kreykenbohm lecture series Monday, April 19, at 7 p.m., at HCC's Kepler Theater.
The lecture series is named after Helen Kreykenbohm, a retired professor and former humanities division chair at HCC.
This year's guest speaker will be Herald-Mail columnist Tim Rowland. Rowland was hired by The Herald-Mail in 1985 and covered the Maryland General Assembly in Annapolis from 1990 through 1994 before becoming a full-time humor columnist.
He was syndicated by the Bridge News Service in New York, with his columns appearing in papers including The Philadelphia Inquirer, Toronto Star and Fort Lauderdale Sun-Times.
The lecture also coincides with HCC's annual faculty art show. A reception for faculty artists will be held at 6 p.m.
