WILLIAMSPORT -- Clear Spring entered Monday's game against Williamsport undefeated and continued their winning ways with a 13-3 waxing of the Wildcats in a game ended by the 10-run rule.

Blazers senior Brandon Glazer was brilliant on the mound, scattering seven hits and striking out seven Wildcats.

"My changeup was working better for me today," said Glazer. "My fastball was good, too."

The Blazers (7-0, 5-0) went right to work in the top of the first, getting a solo home run from Matt Braithwaite and a two-run blast from Corey Morgan to take a 3-0 lead.

Zach Lucas' sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first pull Williamsport (4-6, 2-3) to within 3-1, but Clear Spring used six hits to score five runs in the second inning to push its lead to 8-1.

With an eight-run lead in the fifth, Clear Spring's Joel Rowe roped a three-run double and scored on a double by Morgan as the Blazers took a 13-1 advantage.

In the home side of the fifth, Ryan Butts hit a lead-off double and scored on Connor Arnone's single. Back-to-back base hits plated Arnone.

Williamsport coach Larnie Vickers was proud of his team for battling back.

"I challenged them," he stated. "It was nice to see them fight back."

But the late rally had an abrupt ending as Glazer struck out the last two batters to end the game.

"I had a mental breakdown," Glazer said. "But I got back into it, calmed down and hit my spots."

"He did what we asked of him," Clear Spring coach Mark Shives said. "He hit all three of his pitches."
