HAGERSTOWN -- Lakewood set the early tone and made music the rest of the night.
The BlueClaws scored three runs in the third inning and maintained the lead the rest of the game to take a 7-4 victory on Monday over the Hagerstown Suns at Municipal Stadium.
Lakewood jumped on Suns starter Paul Demny (0-1) for three runs in the third, highlighted by a Anthony Hewitt two-run home run. Domingo Santana drew a leadoff walk and trotted home ahead of Hewitt on his blast to left field. Leandro Castro lofted a sacrifice fly to give the BlueClaws the third run.
The Suns tried to chip away in single-run fashion, scoring in the third, fourth and fifth innings, but still trailed 4-3.
