Brandt, Dorsey honored at meeting

CLEAR SPRING --Clear Spring High School seniors Nathan Brandt and Jarrod Dorsey were recognized as outstanding students during the Clear Spring Town Council meeting Monday.

Brandt told the council that he plans to attend Virginia Tech to study mechanical engineering. He said he would like to work at Volvo Powertrain in Hagerstown.

Dorsey did not attend the meeting.

Council hires mowing contractor

CLEAR SPRING --During its meeting Monday, the Clear Spring Town Council approved hiring a contractor to mow grass at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Nailes Lawn Care LLC was awarded the contract for $28.50 per cut.

Other bids were submitted by Green Horizons Lawn Service for $150; Zepplin Real Estate LLC for $125; Swan's Lawn Care for $85; Greenfella's Lawn Care for $82.50; Kelley's Lawncare for $80; B&G Mowing for $58; and Randy Multi-Services for $49.
