Church to hold spring rummage sale



Emmanuel United Methodist Church, at 802 Summit Ave., will host a spring rummage sale Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition, you can purchase lunch, which includes sandwiches, steamers, hot dogs, chips, and homemade bean or vegetable soup.

You can also purchase a variety of desserts, including cookies and fudge.

And for all of you early risers, there will be egg sandwiches sold for breakfast.

Locust Point group plans Tuesday meeting



The Locust Point Neighborhoods 1st group meeting will be Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Congregation B'Nai Abraham, 53 E. Baltimore St. in Hagerstown.

Yard sale, car wash



The South Hagerstown High School Rebel Band Boosters will hold a yard sale and car wash Saturday, May 15, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school parking lot.

Space is available for $15. Participants provide their own table.

Travelogue series



The Kiwanis Club of Hagerstown concludes its 35th season of the Travelogue series with "Wales: Land of Song," Wednesday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the South Hagerstown High School auditorium.

The presenters will be Monte and Marsha Brown.

Tickets are sold at the door on show nights. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Proceeds help the Kiwanis Club support charities in Washington County.

Basket bingo



Easter Seals is holding a Vera Bradley/Longaberger basket bingo Sunday, May 2, at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive.

The doors open at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon and the games begin at 1 p.m.

Tickets cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets are available at Easter Seals, 101 E. Baltimore St. in Hagerstown. Call 301-745-38285 or e-mail dlauricella@eseal.org">dlauricella@eseal.org. Tables can be reserved in advance.

There will be 25 games, King Tuts, tip jars, raffles and door prizes.

There will also be baked goods and a craft table All baskets will be filled. All proceeds will go to the Hagerstown Easter Seals center.

Card party



The Women's Club will hold a benefit card party for Holly Place on Wednesday, April 21, at noon at the club at 31 S. Prospect St. Admission costs $12 dollars, which includes lunch. Reservations can be made by calling the club at 301-739-0870.

Discovery Station



Saturday - Tony Mendez, former CIA agent, presents "Spydust" and "Postcards From France" at 2 p.m.
