April 14, 21, 28 and May 5, 12: Elementary library time, Clear Spring Library, 3:30 p.m.

April 15: Clear Spring Reflections Show Choir, Hagerstown Community College's Kepler Theater, 9 and 10:30 a.m. Part of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra's Kinder Konzerts series, which are free concerts geared toward preschool-aged children. Groups of 10 or more should call 301-797-4000.

April 15 and May 20: Dry Run Homemakers Club meeting, Clear Spring American Legion Activities Building, noon.

April 16, 23, 30 and May 7, 14: Toddler time, Clear Spring Library, 11:30 a.m.

April 16, 17 and 18: "Footloose," Clear Spring High School auditorium. 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $8 for adults; $6 for students, active military and seniors. For tickets, call 301-766-8999.


April 17: Teddy Bear picnic, Clear Spring Library, 11:30 a.m. Story time with stories, songs, snacks and more. Bring your favorite stuffed friend and a blanket for your picnic area. Registration deadline was April 10.

April 17: Soup and sandwich dinner, Clear Spring High School cafeteria, 4 to 7 p.m. Fundraiser for Clear Spring High's Future Business Leaders of America chapter. $6 for soup, sandwich, chips and drink. Tickets may be purchased at the door at the school's main office.

April 17, 24 and May 1, 8, 15: Bingo at Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Department's Special Events Building, 12323 Big Spring Road, 6:15 p.m. for early birds; 7 p.m. for regular games.

April 19 and May 3: Clear Spring Lions Club, Clear Spring American Legion, 6:30 p.m.

April 20 and May 18: Big Pool Ruritan Club meeting, Big Pool Community Building, 6:30 p.m.

April 22: Poe movie night, Clear Spring Library, 6:30 p.m.

April 22: Clear Spring Garden Club meeting, St. John's United Church of Christ, 211 E. Cumberland St., 7 p.m. Basket arrangements will be made with live plants and cut flowers. Guest demonstrator is Marion James.

April 23: Half Day Play, Clear Spring Library. After a half-day at school, the library will have "Guitar Hero World Tour" and the Wii system set up. Games rated "T" and "E."

May 4: Clear Spring District Historical Association meeting, Plumb Grove, 7 p.m.

May 5: Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Department membership meeting, Special Events Building, 12323 Big Spring Road, 7 p.m.

May 10: Clear Spring town meeting, Town Hall, 7 p.m.

May 10: Clear Spring Ambulance Club membership meeting, 233 Cumberland St., 7:30 p.m.

May 15: Car, truck and motorcycle show, Clear Spring carnival grounds on Big Spring Road, noon to 3 p.m. Gates open at 9 a.m. for registration and early birds.

June 6: Gun bonanza, Clear Spring American Legion pavilion beside the carnival grounds on Big Spring Road, 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. $20 admission includes food, beverages and chance to win 25 prizes. Prizes include 23 hunting rifles, $500 and $1,000 grand prize. Must be 18 or older to participate. Fundraiser for Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Department. Call 301-842-3775.
