Donald Eugene Davis, 75, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.

Born Oct. 13, 1934, in Mapleville, Md., he was the son of the late William M. Davis and Evelyn May (Cunningham) Davis.

Donald was a 1952 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

He was a member of Christian Community Church at St. Paul's in Neersville, Va.

Mr. Davis worked at Potomac Dyeing and Printing Co. in Hagerstown for 20 years, and he also worked at Larstan Industries in Hagerstown for 22 years.

He was a league bowler at Turner's Enterprises in Halfway, and was a past member of the Boonsboro Band Boosters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Doris A. (Netz) Davis; two sons, Terry L. Davis and his wife Theresa of Boonsboro, Md., and Douglas S. Davis and his wife Tina of Hagerstown, Md.; and one sister, Beverly Lapole of Funkstown, Md. He is also survived by three granddaughters; two grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.


Donald was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Kamryn LeAna Booth.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Roland England will officiate. Burial will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.

Friends may visit beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
