Activities: Hagerstown Children's Theater will offer four musical theater summer camps this summer: "Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Too," "Saturday Night Live" (middle school and high school students only), "Bye Bye Birdie" and "Fame." Each camp builds skills in acting, singing and dancing, and it ends in a performance on stage.

Discovering Shakespeare

Activities: Students will learn about the life and times of one of the most influential English authors. Learn basic stage directions and put them to use in performing sections of some of Shakespeare's comedies and tragedies. Students will perform in a mock Shakespearean stage combat, study some of his sonnets and compose sonnets of their own. Class is from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Activities: A relaxed and enjoyable environment for children to learn about music employing eurhythmics (a technique of learning music through movement). Campers will learn songs especially chosen for their age and learn about posture, expression and vocal projection. They will perform a concert on Friday.
