HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Timothy W. Giffin, 52, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died Tuesday, April 6, 2010.

Born March 2, 1958, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Roland W. and Eileen L. (Ingram) Giffin.

Tim was a federal employee, working on the C&O Canal for the U.S. National Park Service.

He was a 1976 graduate of Boonsboro High School and also graduated from Hagerstown Business College.

Tim was a member of Samples Manor Church of God near Dargan and attended Welty Church of the Brethren in Smithsburg.

He is survived by his wife, Diane L. (Bromley) Giffin; three brothers, Gregory L., Darrin W. and David A. Giffin, all of Dargan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his loyal friend and canine companion, Camry.


Services will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Md. The Rev. Michael C. Manthos will officiate. Tim will be laid to rest at sunset at Samples Manor Cemetery near Dargan. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service. There will be no viewing.
