Tea Party rally set for April 24 in Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Franklin County (Pa.) Young Republicans in cooperation with the Franklin County Council of Republican Women and the Franklin County Republican Committee will be sponsoring a Tea Party on April 24 at noon at the Franklin County Courthouse.

"2010 is turning out to be a watershed moment in American politics. The term 'We the People' means more now than ever, and we need to stand up and continue to voice our concerns," Franklin County Young Republicans Chairman Ben Rice said in a news release.

Drs. Michele Behta and Jim Shaffer will speak in regards to the health care bill.

Also speaking will be John Kennedy, a candidate for Pennsylvania lieutenant governor; state Rep. Todd Rock; Tuscarora School Board member Erich Hawbaker; Shippensburg Borough Councilman Jon Baker; Rice; and Franklin County Republican Committee Chairman Jim Taylor.
