MCI-Hagerstown



The following employees of Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown recently were honored.

o Susan Trainor, a correctional officer sergeant, was named Employee of the Month for April.

Trainor was named MCI-H's audit coordinator in September 2007. The audit system was in disrepair and needed much attention. She focused on getting the right documents and processes in place, then trained those responsible for maintaining these items. The system now is in good shape and she routinely applies accountability to ensure the system functions properly and efficiently.

o James Younker, a correctional officer captain, was named Supervisor of the Quarter for April to June.

Younker was honored for his work as a liaison with the medical department. During his tenure, many issues that had been present were handled and rectified. His dedication in establishing communication and a teamwork concept with the medical department has greatly improved the working relationship between the medical department, custody staff and inmates.

O'Neill Physical Therapy Services



Jenn Robertson, a physical therapy assistant with O'Neill Physical Therapy Services Inc., recently completed a continuing education course titled "Prenatal and Postpartum Exercise Design."

Robertson is using the skills acquired in the course to further develop the business' prenatal and postpartum program. The program includes treatment for back, neck and shoulder pain; carpal tunnel syndrome; and prenatal massage.

Chambersburg Hospital



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Joan Lahr, RN, CCRN, of Chambersburg Hospital recently earned her Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification.

Lahr has worked at Chambersburg Hospital in both the critical care and quality management departments. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology and is pursuing a master's degree in nursing education.

The CPHQ certification is granted by the Healthcare Quality Certification Board, which is a division of the National Association for Healthcare Quality.

The following Menno Haven employees celebrated milestone anniversaries in April.

RE/MAX Results



FREDERICK, Md. - Mark Boettcher of RE/MAX Results recently received the GRI designation from the Realtors Institute of Maryland.

Boettcher received the designation after completing 90 hours of specific education outlined by the National Association of Realtors.

The Manitowoc Co.



MANITOWOC, Wis. - The following employees of The Manitowoc Co. recently received promotions.

o John Kennedy was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for its crawler crane product line.

Kennedy joined Manitowoc in 1988 as a product manager and quickly moved into a sales role as a field sales manager for the Midwest and eastern Canada.

o Allen Kadow recently was named director of marketing for Manitowoc in Latin America.

Kadow will be responsible for market analysis and development for all of Manitowoc's brands in Latin America.

The Manitowoc Co. is the parent company of Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa.

Keller Stonebraker Insurance



Marcia Baker, senior vice president; Kathy Seiler, commercial lines account manager; and Kent Reynolds, chief operating officer, of Keller Stonebraker Insurance Inc. recently completed the annual continuing education requirements of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

To earn the designation, they attended five courses covering all phases of the insurance business and passed five comprehensive examinations.

Callas Contractors Inc.



Gregory "Scott" Hopkins was named the safest employee winner for March at Callas Contractors Inc.

Hopkins is a working foreman and has been employed by Callas since August 2009.

Orrstown Bank



SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Bill Coy recently joined the staff of Orrstown Bank as a branch executive officer.

Coy will serve the bank's Norland Avenue office in Chambersburg, Pa.

Coy replaces Lee Harter, who was promoted to vice president and regional sales manager in January.

Harter will be based out of the bank's King Street office in Shippensburg and will oversee the branches in the bank's southern region.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Bob Snurr and Darrell Morgan of the Waynesboro office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA recently were recognized for excellent performance in February.

The decision was based on the number of new listings, sales and referrals; attendance at real estate meetings and workshops; and customer satisfaction reports.
