Vishay Angstrohm employees to meet

Employees from Vishay Angstrohm (formerly known as Ward Leonard) are planning a get-together Thursday, April 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 808 (formerly known as Railroad Junction Restaurant) on Virginia Avenue.

Spaghetti dinner set

Broadfording Church of the Brethren Fellowship, at 14010 Greencastle Pike in Cearfoss, will hold a spaghetti dinner Saturday, April 17, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The menu includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti, salad, bread and beverage. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $3 for those younger than 8. Dessert will be available for a donation. Proceeds benefit the church's community ministry center debt reduction. For more information, call 301-791-5432.


Maugansville Elementary recognizes students

Maugansville Elementary recognized students for being fair at the fourth Golden Table of the year March 31. Students received a book compliments of the PTA, a school-related goodie bag, healthy treats, a certificate and a star to wear designating their accomplishment.

Those students recognized were:

First grade: Kaitlyn Hoover, Conner Hosein, Drew Wallech, Casey Allison, Devon Ellis, Sirinity Jones, Ben Holsinger, Dalton Reed and Abigail Ohaegbu

Second grade: Breanna Chedester, William Zheng, Jazmyne Horner, Tyler Richardson, Ashlyn Pearrell, Harrison Hoover, Reagan Knowles, Colby Knight, Madalyn Yeagy and Cole LaClair
