Activities: Summer Institute for the Arts apprenticeship students will be mentored by professional artists in visual art, rock band or theater (music, movement, acting). Participants will benefit by creating, performing, analyzing and critiquing artistic repertoire in their field of concentration and in various disciplines. The students will share their work with parents and friends during two productions.

Activities: This is a skills-based, hands-on opportunity for students to receive disciplined, focused and age-appropriate arts instruction in visual arts or theater (music or dance). By building artistic skills, students will open doors to new capabilities and discoveries. Students will be given the opportunity to experience a wide array of art forms. Students will share their work with parents and friends during two productions. Space is limited.

Activities: Summer Institute for the Arts' Art in the Woods is an intense, one-week program especially designed to inspire students interested in applying creative expression through visual art. Students will be mentored by professionally skilled artists and will work with a wide range of media to develop and build skills. Space is limited.

Painting Exploration

Activities: Students will practice painting in traditional as well as unconventional styles and media. In addition to brush, student will use feathers, marbles and splash methods to complete their own original works. Class is from 9 a.m. to noon.
