JoAnn Reed, 73, of Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.

Born Sept. 4, 1936, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Tydings and Irene Josephine Maugans Greenwalt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Reed Sr., in 1991.

She was a 1954 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

She was employed as a bus driver with the Washington County Public School System, until her retirement.

She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.

She was a member of Sunday School Bowling League of Longmeadow and the Senior Citizen's Bowling League at Longmeadow; and, she turf bowled at Pangborn Park.

She also volunteered locally with the Veteran Affairs.

She was a member of AARP and AMVETS Post 10 Auxiliary of Hagerstown.

Survivors include daughter, Patricia A. Reed of Johnstown, Pa.; daughter, Cynthia S. Reed of Hagerstown; daughter, Theresa J. McPherson of Hagerstown; daughter, Michelle G. Sauble and her husband, Randy, of Hagerstown; daughter, Elizabeth A. Edwards and her husband, Jason, of Williamsport, Md.; son, Robert F. Reed Jr. of Falling Waters, W.Va.; son, David Martin Reed of Piedmont, W.Va.; 15 grandchildren, one of whom she shared in his upbringing, Robert F. Reed III; two loving cats, Chloe and Eeyore; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah L. Royer.

The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Friday, April 9, 2010, from 1 to 4 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery on Monday, April 12, 2010, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Clark D. Carr officiating.
