Angel Food orders



Angel Food Ministries will accept orders from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 8; 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 9; 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10; and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at Concordia Lutheran Church, 17906 Garden Lane, Hagerstown.

The food will be distributed at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24.

Walk MS scheduled for April 17



Jonathan Burrs, husband, techie, father of 10, and a person living with multiple sclerosis, has been appointed Walk MS Ambassador for Walk MS in Hagerstown.

The National MS Society, Maryland Chapter will host Walk MS in Hagerstown on Saturday, April 17. Participants will walk a 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) route through Antietam National Battlefield. Registration opens at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m.

Participants who raise more than $125 will receive a T-shirt at the event. The annual 5-kilometer walk helps raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. To register, call 800-344-4867 or go to http://www.nationalmssociety.org/chapters/MDM/index.aspx.

Shepherd alumni cruise planned



The Shepherd University Alumni Association is hosting a Western Caribbean cruise on the new Royal Caribbean ship, Allure of the Seas, from Jan. 16 to 23, 2011. All alumni, families and friends are invited. The Allure of the Seas features ice skating, an aqua-theater, rock climbing wall, Central Park with real grass and trees, Boardwalk with a merry-go-round and more.

Vendors sought for Bark in the Park



SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County is having its annual Bark in the Park, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at Sam Michaels Park, Job Corps Road near Harpers Ferry, W.Va.

Vendors are being sought. To set up a booth, display a craft or business, go to http://www.awsjc.org or call 304-725-5972, for information. A 10-foot by 10-foot vendor space costs $25. Vendors must provide their own set up. Animal rescues will be provided space free of charge.
