Mrs. Betty L. (Snyder) Kettoman, 61, of 244 N. Locust St., Apt. 3, Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at her home.

Born April 13, 1948, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lewin and Betty (Smith) Snyder. She spent her early life in Waynesboro.

Mrs. Kettoman received her G.E.D. from Waynesboro High School in 1984.

She had been employed by Avalon Manor, Hagerstown, and worked seasonally for Musselman's and as a waitress for local restaurants.

She is survived by three daughters, Dawn Nave of Hagerstown, Angela Nave-Seal of Hagerstown and Amy Painter of Springfield, Va.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Patricia Murray of McConnellsburg, Pa., Bonnie Kabler of Myersdale, Pa., Linda Minnich of Waynesboro and Lola Brown of Hagerstown; three brothers, Lewin Snyder Jr. of Beartown, Pa., Bill Snyder of Clear Spring, Md., and Earl Snyder of Waynesboro; a lifelong companion and best friend, Bob LaPorte of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Emily Snyder and Anna White; and a brother, Ben Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with the Rev. Mitch Robinson officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
