April 06, 2010

East Oak Ridge Drive at the CSX railroad crossing will be closed from 8 a.m. Friday, April 16, through 8 p.m. Sunday, April 18, weather permitting, to allow the railroad to make repairs to the crossing, the Washington County Division of Public Works said in an e-mailed release.

East Oak Ridge Drive will be closed to through traffic at that crossing during improvements. The posted detour will include signs in each direction on East Oak Ridge Drive, Md. 65, Wilson Boulevard and Alternate U.S. 40/Frederick Street, according to the release.

CSX will work through the weekend to minimize the duration of the closure and the effect on traffic, according to the release. Inclement weather could prolong the closure or delay the closure to the following weekend.
