Sharpsburg, The annual Easter sunrise service at Antietam National Battlefield's Visitors Center at 6:30 a.m. will be in the observation room that overlooks Bloody Lane. The Rev. Karen Erskine-Valentine will preach and Jonas Dawson will be on the keyboard.

Trinity Orchard House, Shepherdstown Road, Martinsburg, W.Va., the intown community sunrise service on Easter Sunday will begin at 6 a.m.

St. James Brethren Church, Lappans Road, will host the community Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Manor Church of the Brethren, Downsville Church of the Brethren and Downsville Christian Church will join to celebrate. A choral group from each of the four churches will participate. Pastor Joy Zepp will preach on Easter Morning's Labor. Fellowship and breakfast will follow.

Paramount Brethren in Christ Church, 19106 Longmeadow Road, the four Paramount area churches will join together for the annual community Easter Sonrise service at 6:45 a.m. Breakfast will follow in the social hall.


St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rt. Rev. Eugene Sutton, bishop of Maryland, will preside over the Great Vigil tonight at 7. The Rev. Eyleen Farmer will speak on The Great Mystery at 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services. An egg hunt begins on the lawn at 11:30 a.m.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor Quentin Fleming will preside at the 8:15 and 10:30 communion services, speaking on the topic, Try to Remember. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:15 a.m.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, Pastor Mark Mooney will lead the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service on the topic, He Rose. The pastor and one of his puppet friends will share a children's sermon.

First Baptist Church, 15 High St., Hagerstown, Pastor Thom Smith will speak at the 7 a.m. service Sunday on the topic, Jesus Got His Tomb Back.

Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, the Rev. Carol Hallman's message Sunday at the 6:45 a.m. sunrise service is And the Word Became Flesh. A breakfast follows. At 10:30 a.m., the topic is Fragile Beginnings. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, an Easter sonrise service will begin at 6:30 a.m. A breakfast will follow in the fellowship hall. Pastor Rachel Black will lead the 10 a.m. service Sunday. The topic will be Rescued. Joyce Minnick is the worship leader. Music by the Intergenerational Band. Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, Sunday, the 8 a.m. sunrise service theme is Resurrection Revelations. The topic at the 10 a.m. service is The Lord is Risen Indeed. There will be special music. Wednesday at 7 p.m., the topic is Moments of Decision.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Al Clipp will give a meditation on the topic, Running to the Grave, at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. communion services Sunday. Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Hispanic ministry begins at 7:30 p.m.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., a 7:30 a.m. service will be held at Green Hill Cemetery, followed by Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and the 10:40 a.m. service on I Have Seen The Lord. Wednesday family fellowship with Bible study, prayer, and teen club at 7 p.m.

A Cry in the Wilderness Ministries, 13194 Monterey Lane, meeting in Steve's Studio/Gallery at Tracey's Corner in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. will feature the topic, I Am The Son of Man, by Pastor Steve Burdette.

River of Life Family Worship Center, 12312 Orebank Road, Clear Spring, The Winebrinners will minister in song Sunday at 10 a.m.
