GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Mrs. Candice P. (Bennett) "Candy" Clopper, 52, of 12497 Gearhart Road, Greencastle, Pa., died at 8:10 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center. Her death was unexpected and attributed to a brain aneurysm.
Born May 9, 1957, in Germany, she was the daughter of Louise (Dayhoff) Bennett and the late John M. Bennett. She moved to the Waynesboro area in 1976.
Candy graduated from Smithsburg High School with the class of 1975.
She and her husband, George A. Clopper Jr., were married March 18, 2006, at Eyler's Valley Chapel, Thurmont, Md. They moved to their present residence in 2006.
Candy worked at Citizens National Bank, Waynesboro, as a teller and secretary and later at York Federal Bank as a loan officer. She had been employed as executive director of the Antietam Humane Society, Waynesboro, for nearly 10 years and also helped her husband on their farm.
