April 01, 2010

Authorities were looking for a man who robbed a Dominos Pizza shop at gunpoint in Middletown, Md., on Wednesday according to Maryland State Police in Frederick County.

The robber got away with about $700, state police said in a press release.

The man entered the business around 10 p.m. and pointed a small semi-automatic handgun at one of the two employees, police said. A search conducted by state police and the Frederick County Sheriff's Department in the woods behind the pizza shop, which is at 4316 Old National Pike, was unsuccessful.

Police say the man was wearing a camouflage-colored jacket with the hood pulled up and a black bandana covering his face. He is described as being white and about 6 feet, 3 inches tall with a very thin build, the release said.

The Frederick County Bureau of Investigations is leading the investigation.
