Winter line dance classes

Registration deadline forco-ed dodgeball

FREDERICK, Md. - Dodgeball is the kick-off program to the City Adult Sport and Social League, a co-ed adult sports league that provides adults with a chance to network, socialize and play in a variety of organized sports and events. CASSL will offer dodgeball, kickball, floor hockey, flag football and special events and trips that highlight downtown Frederick and surrounding areas. Season starts Tuesday, Jan. 12, and runs through March. 8 to10 p.m. Start time is based on division Tuesday or Thursday nights. For ages 21 and older. William Talley Recreation Center, 121 N. Little Maestros classes

The six-week sessions continue with woodwinds, Jan. 5 to Feb. 11; brass, Feb. 23 to April 8, and string/orchestra, April 20 to May 27. Classes are Tuesday mornings at Paramount Elementary; Wednesday mornings at Eastern Elementary; and Thursday evenings at Barbara Ingram School for the Arts. Each session costs $45 per student. FREDERICK, Md. - The City of Frederick Department of Recreation is offering a one-time, one-hour, try-out class to introduce people to Zumba. Make a Japanese flute class registration deadline

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Participants will learn how to make a shakuhachi, a Japanese end-blown flute, during a two-part "make and take" workshop sponsored by Renfrew Institute's adult/teen education committee.
