HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Mary Louise Turner, 79, of 276 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown, Md., passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Nov. 8, 1930, in Maugansville, Md., she was the daughter of the late George V. Williams Sr. and Mary "Carpenter" Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Charles Harvey Turner Sr., in November 1984.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by six daughters, Mary E. St. Clair, Pat A. Kauffman, Betty D. Knox and Linda L. Fultz, all of Hagerstown, Susan K. Turner of Mercersburg, Pa., and Beverley Burker of Falling Waters, W.Va.; five sons, Charles H. Turner Jr., Joseph F. Turner, Lester L. Turner and Richard L. Turner, all of Hagerstown, and George V. Turner of Mercersburg; one sister, Violet Ferguson of Hagerstown; one brother, Lester Williams of Hagerstown; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by three daughters, Dorothy L. Turner, Mildred I. Turner and Kitty M. Staley; one sister, Betty J. Miley; and one brother, George V. Williams Jr.

Services will be Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, Md. The Rev. Bobby Robinson will officiate. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, one hour before services at the funeral home.
