Robert Edward Gross, 54, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009.
Born Tuesday, Jan. 25, 1955, in Columbus, Ga., he was the son of the late James Herbert Gross and the late Nevada Gertrude Hilton Gross.
He graduated in 1973 from South Hagerstown High School. He was an avid Harley-Davidson rider and enjoyed deep-sea fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Mildred M. Gross; stepdaughter, Jeannette M. Swartz and husband, Allen, of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sisters, Carolyn Priday and husband, Michael, of Big Pool, Md., and Victoria McCormick and husband, George, of Ocean Pines, Md.; two grandsons, Jared Allen and Kyle Avery Swartz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. from Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD 21742, with the Rev. Larry Rickard officiating.
