Shed stolen from lot near Sharpsburg

SHARPSBURG -- A large storage shed valued at more than $3,000 was reported stolen from a lot near Sharpsburg.

The shed was reported stolen on Nov. 18, Maryland State Police said Monday.

Witnesses saw the shed being hauled north on Harpers Ferry Road into Sharpsburg, and then west on Shepherdstown Pike into West Virginia at approximately 3 p.m. Nov. 18, state police said in a prepared release.

The shed was 1 year old and was described as being 12 feet by 20 feet, with double doors on the 12-foot end, police said. It has a natural-wood finish board and batten exterior with a brown shingled roof, and two windows on each 20-foot side. It features a gambrel-style roof.

State police ask that anyone with information about a shed matching this description being placed since Nov. 18 contact Trooper 1st Class Scott Bare at 301-739-2101, ext. 334.
