High Rock Studios



Two people recently joined the staff of High Rock Studios.

o Tyler Pangborn will serve on the Web/video team in High Rock's Hagerstown office.

Pangborn previously worked as a video editor for Video Production Consulting in Reisterstown, Md., and as a production specialist for After Five Productions in Hagerstown.

Pangborn graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in visual arts.

o Jason Miller will serve as art director in High Rock's Ellicott City, Md., office, where he also will be responsible for account management.

Miller has more than 10 years of experience in graphic and Web design. He most recently was the associate creative director at Merrick Towle in Beltsville, Md.

Miller graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in graphic design.

Robinwood Orthopaedic Specialty Center



Dr. Bruce N. Edwards, an orthopedic surgeon and partner at Robinwood Orthopaedic Specialty Center in Hagerstown, recently completed a course on Advances in Arthroplasty at the Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Edwards is board certified in orthopedic surgery and has been performing total knee and hip replacements for more than 29 years.

Diane Dietz has been named Employee of the Month for November at Volvo Powertrain North America

Dietz is known for being an exceptional trainer and supporter of her team and supervisor to meet production demands.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA



GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Scott Palmer of the Greencastle office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA recently was named Agent of the Month for November.

The award is given based on the number of listings taken, sales made and closed sales; attendance at Realtor functions; and continuing education classes completed.

Association of Fundraising Professionals



FREDERICK, Md. - The Western Maryland chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals recently elected the following officers to serve one-year terms in 2010.

o President - Megan Kula, associate director of major gifts at McDaniel College

o Vice President - Michael Leiter, senior director of marketing and development at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village

o Treasurer - Elizabeth Day, president of The Community Foundation of Frederick County

o Secretary - Elizabeth Galaida, consultant with Galaida Creative Services

o Immediate past president - Mary Ellen Mitchell, director of public relations and fund development at Interfaith Housing Alliance Inc.

Elected as board directors to serve one-year terms are Kenneth Coffey, Jane DiGirolamo, Donald Stoetzer, John Warren and Robin Zanotti.
