Discovery Station gets new window signs

December 25, 2009

The Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau donated 12 large and colorful new window signs for Discovery Station in downtown Hagerstown.

The signs include bright and cheerful frogs, butterflies, the Discovery Station Weather Station, the Titanic, the C&O Canal, a magnifying glass, and NASA and Space.

The window displays were designed by Icon Graphics, and the production of the new large logos was completed by Patty Byers and Stu Mullendore at HBP. CVB paid for the design and installation of the signs.

The signs are on the windows along Summit Avenue and West Washington Street.

"These window graphics help attract attention and bring visitors to Discovery Station science museum," said Executive Director B. Marie Byers. "We thank the CVB for making these newly installed window sign designs possible. Since they have been installed, we've noticed that attendance has increased for our science museum and also for our Treasure Gift Shoppe."
