After Christmas has come and gone, there's the fact that the Single-Digits Decade is almost over, and it's time to ring in 2010.

Short on plans? Not sure what's happening on Dec. 31? The Herald-Mail has rounded up a few events that might help you answer the question, "What are you doing on New Year's Eve?"

'That Holiday Feeling'



Washington County Playhouse and Dinner Theatre finishes its run of "That Holiday Feeling," with a New Year's Eve show.

WHERE: Washington County Playhouse and Dinner Theatre 44 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The entrance is accessible via the City of Hagerstown's downtown public parking lot.

New Year's Extravaganza with Freddie Long



Straight out of Ijamsville, Md., the Freddie Long Band hopes to help revelers bring in the new year. Preparty dinner and champagne toast. Joe Daniel opens the show.

WHERE: Zodiac Bar & Grill at the Hagerstown Hotel & Convention Center, 1910 Dual Highway, Hagerstown

WHEN: New Year's Eve. Dinner starts at 7 p.m.; entertainment begins at 8 p.m.

New Years Eve Ball 2010



Buffet dinner, open bar, dessert station, champagne toast and balloon drop. Live music from Top 40 band Cry Monday.

New Year's Eve with Richie Fields



Features music by Richie Fields, with DJ music between sets. Appetizer buffet, champagne toast and party favors.

WHEN: New Year's Eve. 9 p.m. Appetizer buffet, 7 to 10 p.m.

Justin Kalk Orchestra performs



The band formerly known as The Blue Sky Traffic returns to Hagerstown with a slightly different lineup for a New Year's Eve show at Broad Axe. Free champagne toast at midnight.

Polar Bear Plunge



Fundraiser for the Humane Society of Washington County; participants collect sponsorship pledges before plunging into the Potomac River. Prizes are awarded to the top two pledge collectors.

WHERE: River Bottom Park, Williamsport; park is adjacent to the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park.

WHEN: Noon, Friday, Jan, 1.

Julia LIttleton from Bristow, Va., will present a carillon recital at midnight.

New Year's Eve at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center of Historic Shepherdstown

Live music by Souled Out from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dinner is from 5 to 8 p.m.

WHERE: Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, 223 Lowe Drive, Shepherdstown, W.Va.

COST: Dance costs $40 in advance; $45 at the door. Dinner costs $24.95 for adults; $13.95 for 8- to 15-year-olds; free for ages 7 and younger.
