Snow Angels

December 23, 2009

The following are Snow Angels called in to Mail Call, The Herald-Mail's call-in line, and listed on our Web site at www.herald-mail.com

"This is about a snow angel, but he's not only a snow angel - he's a mow angel. He mowed his neighbors' lawn the entire season, and would not take anything for it. They were ill and they were elderly, and they have since gotten better, and when the big snow came, he not only did the snow blowing for himself, he did it for his other neighbor, the one across the street, and the one across from them." - Greencastle, Pa.

"We want to thank our snow angel, George, on Hampton Road. Him and his wife Pat are our snow angels all year, because they watch out for my husband, who is disabled, while I work." - Williamsport

"I would like to thank my snow angel, Denny, on Mapleville Road, for coming and plowing out my driveway on Saturday evening so I could go to work. He is a great neighbor, a great friend. The whole family is just like family to us, so again, I want to thank my snow angel for what he did for me over the weekend." - Boonsboro

"We live on Route 65, and we are senior citizens, and we are so blessed to have wonderful neighbors who came over and cleaned our driveway out three times for us, even plowed so I could get down to feed my birds, to watch them, and they just take good care of us, and we're so blessed to have people like them." - Sharpsburg

"I live in Woodmoor, and my neighbor John certainly is a snow angel. He cleans my driveway every time it snows, and goes through the neighborhood to help others also. He is truly an angel and a gentleman." - Hagerstown

"This is for my two snow angels, Cody, who used his snow blower to open our walkways in the front and the back so we could get outside, and Joe, who helped me get my car unstuck in a snowpile behind my house."

"I'd like to thank my snow angel neighbor for shoveling a path from her door to my door. Also, to Donna and Gerald, for the great work they've been doing, seeing that I get my paper. They are two great snow angels." - Hancock
