MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Katherine Regina Brown McDaniel, 88, of Martinsburg, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Heartland of Martinsburg.
Born March 18, 1921, in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late John Gaius Brown and Ruth Ellen Tebo Brown.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and Fidelity Sunday School Class.
Mrs. McDaniel was a member of the Golden Rule, Chapter No. 69, O.E.S.
She was a graduate of Martinsburg High School, class of 1939.
She is survived by two sons, John D. McDaniel of Martinsburg and Stephen C. McDaniel and wife Nancy of Hagerstown; two daughters, Nancy Ellen Kief and husband Roger, and Lisa L. McDaniel, both of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, Kristi L. Palmer and husband Lee, Michele R. Michael and husband Patrick, Kristopher C. McDaniel and Meagan K. McDaniel; four great-grandchildren, Scott A. Palmer, Joshua Z., Jacob T. and Nathanael Michael; two sisters, Dorothy Porterfield of Shenandoah Junction, and Audrey Barrett and husband Floyd of Bellingham, Wash.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
