Frederick lifting snow emergency

December 21, 2009

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - The mayor of Frederick says a snow emergency in the city will be lifted at 9 a.m. Monday.

City government will be open, but a liberal leave policy will be in effect for nonessential city employees.

Mayor Randy McClement says keeping the snow emergency in effect would allow crews to work overnight to clear Frederick's snow emergency routes from curb to curb.
