Tax workshop



Jan. 21 - The Hagerstown chapter of SCORE, in cooperation with CPA firm Smith Elliott Kearns & Co. LLC and Kaplan University, will offer its fifth annual free public service tax workshop. Topics relate to understanding and filing your 2009 state and federal tax returns and include business tax requirements, employment taxes, employer tax forms 940/941 and business use of your home. The material presented is best suited for new businesses, sole proprietors and those exploring a business of their own. 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Kaplan University, Career Technology Center Room 111, 18618 Crestwood Drive, Hagerstown.
