St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Stephanie Yancy will lead the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services Sunday. Sunday school classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. The adult forum topic is Mary in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Pastor Eric Norgard is preacher and presider Sunday at the 8:30 a.m praise worship in fellowship hall and the 10:55 a.m. evangelical service in the sanctuary. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Lay assisting minister is Tony Howell.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, Pastor Mark Mooney will be leading the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service on O Little Town. The Fortune family will light the fourth Advent candle. Mooney and his puppet friends will also share a children's sermon. A fellowship brunch will follow. The children's Christmas party is at 6 p.m.

First Christian Church, Interim Minister Tim Murtaugh will share the message, Heralds of Glad Tidings: Elizabeth, at the 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. services Sunday. Special music by the chancel choir, and Gerry Philp, vocal soloist. Sunday school for all ages at 11:15 a.m.


First Baptist Church, 15 High St., Hagerstown, Pastor Thom Smith will speak at the 11 a.m. service Sunday on Cost of Ministry. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. The children and youth will present the Christmas musical at 6 p.m.

Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, the Rev. Carol Hallman's message Sunday at 10:30 a.m. is He Will Bring Peace. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, Pastor Rachel Black's message at the 10 a.m. service Sunday is Jesus Christ was Born to Save. Mary Diehl is worship leader. Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m. The youth will host a family Christmas celebration at 6 p.m. in fellowship hall.

Bible Study for all ages at 9 a.m. Sunday evening's activities begin at 6 p.m. with the musical, Repeat the Sounding Joy. Wednesday's youth service is at 7 p.m.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., Pastor Larry Weber will be speaking at 10:40 a.m. Sunday on Salvation: The Path to Peace. A Cry in the Wilderness Ministries, 13194 Monterey Lane, meeting in Steve's Studio/Gallery at Tracey's Corner in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. will feature the topic, The Special Gift, by Pastor Steve Burdette. The Unlikely Three is the title of the holiday drama.

Zion United Church of Christ, the 11 a.m. Sunday service features a sermon by the Rev. Gerry Hanberry on God's DNA - From a Mother Comes the Savior. The youth Christmas program, Angels We Have Heard on High, will be presented. Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m.

Welty Church of the Brethren, Greensburg, the Rev. Mike Manthos will lead the service Sunday at 10:45 a.m. on the topic, The Journey Continues. There is a breakfast and skit at 9:15 a.m. followed by Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.
