Mayor and council members are sworn in

CLEAR SPRING - The Clear Spring mayor and two Town Council members took the oath of office during Monday's Town Council meeting.

Mayor Paul D. Hose Jr. and council members Theodore and Carol Hovermale were sworn in by Dennis Weaver, clerk of Washington County Circuit Court, to serve two-year terms.

Hose and the Hovermales ran unopposed in the town election last month.

The seats of Vice Mayor Steven Blickenstaff and Councilwoman Pamela Sasser will be up for re-election next year.

Pothole patching done on Hawbaker Circle

CLEAR SPRING - Clear Spring Councilman Theodore Hovermale said during a Town Council meeting Monday that pothole patching on Hawbaker Circle was completed Dec. 4.

The town paid Ralph Weaver & Son $1,475 to do the work, Town Clerk Juanita Grimm said. Another bid was submitted by Licking Creek Paving for $1,500.


Hovermale said the job took about half a day to complete.

Town Hall closed during the holidays

CLEAR SPRING - Clear Spring Town Hall will be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 4 in observance of the holidays.
