Seasonal events planned in Williamsport

o Visit Santa at the Community Building in Byron Memorial Park tonight through Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.

o The Springfield Middle School Orchestra holiday concert will be Thursday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission is $2.

o St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 10813 Donelson Drive, will hold its annual living nativity Saturday and Sunday at 7 and 8 p.m. Straw bales will be provided for seating or park on the church lawn. For more information, call 301-223-8887.

o The Williamsport Community Band will present its annual holiday concert Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Williamsport High School Auditorium. Admission is free.


o "A Cricket County Christmas Carol," a country take on Dickens, will be presented in the Fellowship Hall of Williamsport United Methodist Church, 25 E. Church St., Sunday at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $5.

o The Shepherd's Table, at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 30 E. Salisbury St., will serve dinner on Christmas Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The dinner is free to all.

Downsville Ruritan to hold pancake breakfast

Downsville Ruritan will hold a pancake breakfast Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Community Center (old Downsville school) in Downsville.

The menu includes hot cakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, coffee and juice. Breakfast costs $5.50 for adults; $3 for ages 6 to 12; and those 5 and younger eat free.

Children can meet Santa from 9 to 11 a.m.

Blue Band Night at Buffalo Wild Wings

Tonight is Blue Band Night at Buffalo Wild Wings, Railway Lane in Hagerstown, from 5 to 7 p.m. Join the Blue Band for dinner and Buffalo Wild Wings will give a portion of your meal ticket to the Blue Band Uniform Fund. Contact Missy at for details.

Clothes of Hope available Thursday

The Williamsport United Methodist Clothes of Hope, 25 E. Church St., will be open Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. There is no charge for the clothes. Donations are accepted.
