467 H1N1

December 15, 2009

More than 450 appointments to receive H1N1 vaccinations through the Washington County Health Department were filled in about 45 minutes Tuesday, according to health department spokesman Rod MacRae.

Health officials started filling the appointments by phone at 8 a.m., MacRae said. All 467 available appointments were quckly filled, he said.

The vaccinations -- which are available to all members of the general public, not just those in risk groups -- will be administered Thursday and Friday.

MacRae encouraged people to check the health department Web site at www.washhealth.org for information about future vaccination clinics.
