O'Malley attending opening of 'gateway'

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - Gov. Martin O'Malley will be in Frederick on Monday for the opening of a new $107 million highway interchange.

The interchange at Interstate 70 and Md. 85 is meant to ease congestion and improve driver safety. It also includes an extension of East Street and enhanced access to Frederick's MARC train station. It's known as the "Gateway to Frederick."

The project employed about 500 people.
