F&M Trust

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Tracy D. Burger recently joined F&M Trust as an assistant financial services officer and assistant community office manager at the bank's Greencastle office.

Burger will be responsible for meeting the needs of consumers and businesses with the appropriate banking solutions to manage and grow their money. She also will build, enhance and expand customer relationships through deposit services and lending in the Greencastle area.

Burger has more than 18 years of experience in the banking industry. She began her career at Chambersburg (Pa.) Trust Co. as a teller. She later joined the First National Bank of Greencastle, where she held a variety of roles, including customer service representative, business development manager and business development officer. She most recently worked at Tower Bank in Hagerstown as a manager.

Burger is a graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and the Franklin County Career and Technology Center.

Frederick Community College

FREDERICK, Md. - Irvin T. Clark III, Ed.D., recently joined the administrative staff of Frederick Community College as associate vice president for student development and dean of students.


Before joining FCC, Clark was director of student services at the Prince Frederick campus of the College of Southern Maryland. He previously served as assistant dean of students at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pa.; coordinator of evening student support services and campus administrator at the Community College of Baltimore County; and resident director and coordinator of first-year experience and learning communities at Delaware State University. He also worked in the Department of Sports Information and Media Relations at Cheyney University as a graduate assistant and worked in Philadelphia as a social worker.

Clark received his Ed.D. in higher education/community college leadership from Morgan State University, where he also completed a doctoral fellowship through the Morgan State University Morris Goldseeker Fellows Program. He earned his bachelor's degree in social relations and his master's degree in adult and continuing education at Cheyney University.

Roxbury Correctional Institution

John Young, an officer at Roxbury Correctional Institution, has been selected as Employee of the Month for December.

Young was honored for his quick response to an incident involving a homemade weapon that might have saved the life of an inmate. Young was able to retrieve and secure the weapon. Another incident occurred after that and he immediately responded and put an end to the situation.

Young has been employed by the Division of Correction since April.

Orrstown Bank

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The following employees of Orrstown Bank recently received promotions.

o Bridget Burnhisel has been promoted to management reporting officer.

Burnhisel has been employed by Orrstown Bank since May 2001, when she was hired as a pool teller. She was promoted to administrative assistant for the loan department in March 2004 and accepted a position as a training associate in May 2007. She joined the finance department in August 2008 as a finance administrative assistant and was promoted to staff accountant III in August 2009.

Burnhisel graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary/early childhood education from Shippensburg University in 2002.

o Wendy Stewart has been promoted to financial reporting officer.

Stewart began her career with Orrstown Bank in May 2005 as an intern in the finance department. She was hired as a staff accountant in the finance department in May 2006 and was promoted to staff accountant III in August 2009.

Stewart graduated from Shippensburg University with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in finance.

o Stephanie Peffer has been promoted to investment officer I.

Peffer began her career with Orrstown Bank in June 2005 as a management trainee. She was promoted to investment assistant with Orrstown Financial Advisors in May 2006 and was promoted to portfolio associate I in June 2007. She was promoted to portfolio associate II in June 2009 after graduating from a three-year program through Cannon Financial, earning the designation of Accredited Fiduciary Investment Manager (AFIM).

Peffer has a master's degree in organizational development and a bachelor's degree in social work, both from Shippensburg University.

o Holly Mitchell has been promoted to compensation and benefits officer.

Mitchell began her career with Orrstown Bank in September 2002 as a pool teller. She was promoted to payroll/administrative associate in the fall of 2005 and was promoted to compensation and benefits administrator in August 2008. She earned her certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) in May 2009 from the Human Resources Certification Institute.

Mitchell has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Shippensburg University.
