The master of ceremonies, Legionnaire Joe Eichelberger, introduced the Rev. Kenny Johnson, who provided entertainment by playing his guitar and singing a variety of gospel and Christmas music. Unit President Ava Gift, on behalf of the unit, presented the Rev. Johnson with a blue star banner.

Johnson's son, Kenny Jr., sang with him last year at the dinner. Kenny Jr. is now serving with the Army National Guard in Cumberland, Md., and will be deployed to Iraq in the spring.

Gift also acknowledged the nine veterans in attendance and asked that all Americans keep all our military men and women and their families in our thoughts and prayers this holiday season. The festivities concluded with everyone mingling and wishing each other a Merry Christmas.
